The idea was to let the kids drop a disk on the Plinko board and let the disk decide what their prize will be. It’s simple enough to be played by kids of all ages and abilities. With 5 slots at the bottom, the 1st and 5th slots (the easiest to get) will result in the reward of 1 piece of candy. The middle slot will result in the “grand prize” – a glow-stick necklace (until we run out, then 3 pieces of candy). To keep this page from running too long, I present one table for each number of rows, showing the pay tables and return for all three pay tables.

Step 14: Hang It

  • Understanding the game dynamics can help you plan your strategy and optimize your chances of hitting the desired pockets.
  • Players have the potential to achieve significant payouts, depending on their bet size.
  • Then, pick a position on the top of the board and click to release your chip.
  • The player may choose from 8 to 16 rows as well as low, medium, or high volatility.
  • I didn’t have much time to build this (started 2 weeks before the event) and decided to try to use up some of my scrap components to minimize the budget.

The Position column shows how many positions away from the left-most position the ball lands. As the height of the board is changed, an interesting pattern emerges. The seven inner chambers start to have roughly the same number of chips falling into them. The two outer chambers have roughly the same as well, but they have far fewer chips than the inner chambers. This change in distribution is mostly due to the chips bouncing off the side of the board and appears to occur when the height of the board is three times the width.

I used screws from the back to mount these in order to keep a clean look. Next, I installed the back rails using pocket screws (yes, I know..). I installed a nested, fold-up leg on the back with a cross-brace to to keep the plinko platform steady at a slight angle. I didn’t have much time to build this (started 2 weeks before the event) and decided to try to use up some of my scrap components to minimize the budget.

Plinko RNG 💸

The Plinko from the show is approximately 10 feet tall and includes nine spaces at the bottom. Prizes of $100, $500 and $1,000 appear twice on the game, along with two $0 drops. The “grand prize” slot of $10,000 appears in the center of the game. The excitement of Plinko can spread to your business or upcoming event, with the portable Plinko Game from PrizeWheel.com. Each plinko board is fully customized by the user to include a logo or program name at the top of the board.

Lay out plastic or paper underneath the board and spray paint it with white glossy paint. This isn’t necessary, but I picked glossy paint to create a smooth, slick surface for the disks to slide down. A clear coat of finish on the wood will accomplish the same goal. Measure the length of your one-by-twelve and make a mark at 16”. Then, use a speed square or combination square to mark a line straight across the width of the board. Because my speed square isn’t large enough to span the width of the one-by-twelve, I flipped it over and made marks from both sides.
